All power operated guillotines require health and safety inspections, as outlined in the HSE regulations
These inspections must be carried out by a trained Print Finishing Engineer. At Printex Finishing Services our maintenance and service contracts include these essential inspections as standard. We can also carry out PAT testing whilst onsite if booked before the engineer arrives.
As outlined in the HSE regulations all power operated guillotines require regular checks to ensure safe working operation
Just like an MOT on your car, a guillotine requires a health check, by law, every six months by a trained guillotine engineer, as well as daily, weekly and monthly checks by the trained operators.
These requirements are law and governed by the HSE. In the link below it shows the level of inspections the machines require.
Many companies offering servicing and maintenance in the Print Finishing sector do not have their own team of trained engineers, as a result they cannot offer the same level of service we do at Printex or that your that your guillotine complies with HSE regulations.
