This is the Privacy Policy of Printex Finishing Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (registered number 8951947) whose registered offices are at 62 Oatlands Road, Shinfield, Reading, RG2 9DE.

Printex Finishing Services Ltd is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy, and to acting in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation (PECR) and applicable regulations. Simply visiting Printex Finishing Services website does not require you to reveal personal identifiable information (PII or personal data). But if you ask us for information, order goods or services, register with us, use our services or report a problem, we collect any personal data you submit to us, and details of the transactions between you and us. In addition, we store information you may give us about your interests, or we may learn about these from your use of our goods and services. This policy explains how we collect, use and process the data that you give.

What data we may collect from you

The data that we collect from you may include information:

  • you provide when you request our goods and services

Data anonymisation

Every individual has rights as to how their personal data is handled, and we recognise the need to treat all such data in an appropriate and lawful manner, according to the classification of such data. Personal data, including sensitive data, are subject to certain legal safeguards specified in the DPA, GDPR and PECR. At Printex Finishing Services, all data (personal and otherwise) that we collect as a result of use of our services is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and in conjunction with the DPA, GDPR and PECR. 

In accordance with the Act, personal data should not be kept longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it is collected. This means that data should be destroyed or erased from our systems when no longer required.  In accordance with our policies and processes as detailed above, in relation to personal data and sensitive personal data collected as a result of use of our services specifically, such is generally retained for a period of 12 months following completion of the work or contract, after which it is deleted. Any research data retained thereafter no longer constitutes personal data as it is anonymised and aggregated on Printex Finishing Services systems prior to research use, at which point no individual is identified or identifiable from such data and the data no longer falls within the scope of the DPA, GDPR and PECR.

Your right to opt out of direct communications

If you do not wish Printex Finishing Services to use your personal data for direct marketing of our goods and services, you can unsubscribe using the link in any email you have received from us, or you can notify us in writing either by email to service@printexfinishing.co.uk or letter (see how you can contact us here).

You can manage the direct marketing that you receive from us by signing up to the specific information that you wish to receive.

Please note, however, that occasionally we may need to communicate with you for administrative or operational reasons and therefore whilst you use our goods and services and continue to wish to do so, it is not possible to opt-out of all communications with us.

How we use Cookies

‘Cookies’ are pieces of information in the form of small text files stored by a user’s web browser on your hard drive when you visit websites. Cookies help to identify the user when they visit a particular web page; this enables the website to work more efficiently and your visit to be personalised, for example, to simplify the login process for registered users. They allow website operators to link the actions of users during a single browser session and therefore avoid you having to re-enter information. Persistent cookies are cookies which remain on the hard drive of your computer after you have visited the website. How we keep your data secure

We are committed to ensuring the security and integrity of personal information that we hold and acting in compliance with UK and EU data protection requirements and have put in place appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to ensure this. Whenever and wherever we collect, process or use personal data, we take steps to ensure that it is treated securely and in accordance with our privacy policy.  However, transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data submitted to our site or other electronic means.

Personal data collected by Printex Finishing Services in the course of work delivered to a client is generally retained for a period of 12 months, after which it is deleted.  Any research data retained thereafter no longer constitutes personal data as it is anonymised and aggregated on Printex Finishing Services systems prior to research use. Other data is retained for periods in accordance with applicable law and regulation. Deletion of personal data and retention and destruction of other data is dealt with in accordance with DPA, GDPR and PECR procedures.

You should note that where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a username and/or password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, or use our goods and services, you are responsible for keeping the username and password confidential. You should not share these details with anyone.

Who we will share your data with

We will not disclose your personal information to third parties except:

  • as necessary to fulfil your order(s) for our goods and services and to validate your payment details

We may also provide your personal data to anyone to whom our business or business assets are transferred. We may also disclose aggregated and anonymised information for marketing, product development, strategic or research purposes. In such data, no individual will be identified or identifiable from such data.

Compliance with data protection and privacy legislation

We seek to comply with the DPA, GDPR and PECR and other regulations, as amended and applicable from time to time.

Links to other sites

This policy applies only to information collected by Printex Finishing Services and its associated companies. Links within our sites to those of other organisations are not covered by this policy so when you link to other websites you should read their own privacy policies. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for those policies. Please check those policies before you submit any personal data to those sites.

This right to see a copy of your personal data (a subject access request) exists under the DPA and, in accordance with this we must provide you with a copy of any personal data we hold about you without reasonable delay.

Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by English law and the place of performance of obligations will be England.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy was produced in February 2022. It covers Printex Finishing Services Limited and Printex reserves the right to modify or update the policy from time to time.
