The IDEAL THE 68 is a programmable guillotine of the latest generation – developed to meet the highest demands in terms of efficiency, ease of use and precision. With a cutting length of 680 mm and a cutting height of up to 80 mm, this model is ideal for print shops, bookbinderies and finishing companies with regular, high cutting volumes.
It is operated via a large 15.6″ multi-touch display, which clearly shows all functions and can be controlled using swipe and touch gestures. The integrated CUT-CONTROL software enables cutting programs to be created and managed quickly – including a favorites function, search mode and programmable pressing pressure. With the DATA MANAGER, programs can be structured according to user, customer or project and saved on a USB stick supplied.
The heart of the machine is the PRECISION-DRIVE: an electromechanical blade drive in combination with hydraulic pressing. The pressing force can be adjusted continuously and programmably. Fine adjustment of the back gauge is carried out conveniently via an ergonomic control element on the front of the machine. A patented foot press is also available for manual intervention – independent of the machine drive.
The comprehensive SCS – Safety Cutting System protects the user with an electronically monitored IR light beam safety curtain on the front table, a closed rear table and safe two-hand blade activating (EASY-TOUCH). The blade change is simple, safe and tool-supported – with a covered cutting edge and animated assistance.
